Mindfulness and Mindfulness in the Workplace masterclasses

In recent years, there has been an explosion of interest in mindfulness and emotional intelligence tools and strategies with widespread media coverage, bestselling books and a remarkable uptake of online resources.

Practising mindfulness in the workplace can boost productivity, reduce absenteeism and enhance work performance so it offers a good return on investment.

Numerous studies also suggest that mindfulness makes a big difference to our ability to concentrate and resilience levels.

Sign up to You Revolution’s Mindfulness in the Workplace masterclass  to receive a free toolkit and access to expert training, resources and advice to help you bring out the best in your employees.

A growing number of businesses are recognising what mindfulness in the workplace has to offer, including Transport for London (TfL), Google, GlaxoSmithKline, the Home Office, the Cabinet Office, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Research by the Institute of Mindful Leadership found that for 93% of leaders surveyed, mindfulness training helped them create space for innovation. Some 89% said it enhanced their ability to listen to themselves and others, and nearly 70% said it helped them think strategically.

If you are unsure at this stage whether you want to commit to a 4 or 6 week mindfulness in the workplace course, you have the option to attend a one day masterclass prior to deciding whether a mindfulness course is right for you.

A mindfulness masterclass provides the opportunity to meet your mindfulness teacher, to network and to meet other like minded busy professionals. They are also a great method to familiarise both the theory and the practice of mindfulness to you and/or your team.

Mindfulness masterclasses can be a part of a zoom or online team-building day, or as stand-alone training, and can help you to decide whether mindfulness is something your organisation or you personally want to explore further.

Research and practical experience both clearly demonstrate that mindfulness based interventions can have a positive impact on a broad range of workplace measures. See more mindfulness research studies here:

Employers and HR Learning & Development Specialists who commission mindfulness in the workplace trainings often struggle to communicate the benefits of mindfulness in the workplace and how to gain buy in from management. In addition, there are pressures to “keep it low cost and do it quick” – which can negatively affect the impact of any intervention.

During Mindfulness in the Workplace Masterclasses, our You Revolution Mindfulness Therapist -Coaches will typically discuss how Mindfulness and emotional intelligence strategies and tools can really help you to overcome stress, burn out and to develop new/improved business skills (see class outline below for more detail).

We also discuss some case studies, how to position mindfulness in the workplace and the return on investment for employers and businesses (see class outline below for more detail).

The masterclass is mostly informative, orientating you towards what the training offers and entails.

This is usually done in a group setting.

Each masterclass usually runs from 930am to 430pm and you can then assess and decide if this is the right course for you.
